The oldest buildings are from the 1930s. In Fagern\u00e4s, houses were already built in the 1920s. Further development was slow and gradual, resulting in several architectural styles. In the early 1920s, Fagern\u00e4s got a new establishment, Goldkuhls Handelstr\u00e4dg\u00e5rd, which sold vegetables such as white cabbage, carrots, Brussels sprouts and more. The business was then carried on by the same family (now the fourth generation) and now includes flowers, garden plants and accessories. Military history, an important part of Boden&#8217;s identity, is reflected in the area through a variety of remains associated with the Eastern Front, long one of the country&#8217;s most important strategic locations. Here are two of the city&#8217;s five listed artillery forts, Mj\u00f6sj\u00f6fortet and Gammel\u00e4ngsfortet, both from the early 1900s. The facilities have been sealed for several years, but structures such as tank obstacles, bunkers, trenches and trenches remain in the terrain. From forbidden territory, the site has become a much-used recreational area.
