From a city of 12 million inhabitants to one with 30,000. Say hello to the new Boden resident, Gabriela! <\/p>\n\n
Gabriela Freitas Ribeiro and her mom from S\u00e3o Paulo came to Boden in May to explore and check out schools and clubs. Then they took the chance and stayed. <\/p>\n\n
\u2013 I was a bit shocked by everything at first, like the nature and the proximity. The strange thing is how quickly I got used to it! <\/p>\n\n
Gabi, as she is called, describes how it already feels like home. Now she is studying IB and playing handball in BBK, where she is a left-handed right back and also the youngest in the squad playing in Division 1. The practices? “Really fun!” <\/p>\n\n
The best thing about Sweden? Fika, without a doubt. She answers lightning-fast without even thinking. Meatballs and chocolate balls are also high on the list. <\/p>\n\n
She has already managed to see the northern lights from the balcony, where she sat with her mom for over 30 minutes and just enjoyed it. She is a little afraid of the winter, but she is looking forward to the snow! <\/p>\n\n
The only things really missing are her dog and her friends back home in Brazil.<\/p>\n\n
