Year age 6 to 12<\/h3>\n

There are eleven F-6 (6 to 12 years) schools and two F-9 (6 to 15 years) schools in the municipality of Bodens. Year 6 to 12 is a time when the basic knowledge and skills are laid that will form a solid foundation for children’s further education and development.<\/p>\n

During these years it is important to encourage children to take advantage of all the opportunities around them. They have the opportunity to learn about many different subjects, such as mathematics, Swedish, English, social studies and science. They also have the opportunity to explore creative subjects, such as music, art and drama, and to develop their creativity and self-expression.<\/p>\n

But age 6 to 12 are not just about knowledge, they are also about developing social skills and learning to work with others. Children learn to be respectful of each other and to work together to achieve common goals. They also learn how to manage conflict and understand how to solve problems in a positive way.<\/p>\n

As a parent or teacher, it is important to support children during these years and encourage them to believe in themselves and their abilities. By giving them positive feedback and acknowledging their progress, we help them develop a positive self-image and believe in their ability to succeed.<\/p>\n

Age 13 to 15<\/h3>\n

The municipality of Boden has two age 13 to 15 schools and two age 6 to 15 schools.<\/p>\n

Age 13 to 15 are a time of change and challenge for many young people. It is a time when they are transitioning from being children to teenagers, and when they start preparing for the transition to secondary school and later the world of work.<\/p>\n

During these years, students are challenged to take more responsibility for their own learning and development. They can choose courses in different subjects that interest them, giving them more freedom to create their own learning path. At the same time, they are challenged to cope with more advanced subjects and higher performance expectations.<\/p>\n

Study and career guidance<\/h3>\n

In the Municipality of Boden, study and career guidance is given to all students in grades 7, 8 and 9. The guidance activities are different depending on the year the student is in. Study and career counselors guide and inform students and guardians individually and in groups about the students’ future study paths and professional life. The goal of the guidance activities is for the students to be able to make a well-founded choice for upper secondary school and prepare them for a future professional life.
