Brothers Arne (Lennart Jähkel) and Stefan (Rolf Lassgård) fill their days in the northern village of Brobyn chopping wood and bickering with the hunting team. When an alien crash-lands behind the woodshed, life is turned upside down—Stefan doesn’t want a freeloading space guy under his roof, while Arne welcomes the metre-tall figure and names him Roland. When Arne’s health starts to fail, Stefan is forced to deal with both his new lodger and the realisation that life may never be the same again.
