All students have the right to learn and develop in a safe environment and to be treated with respect. Adult education and other activities regulated by the Education Act should be free from offensive treatment. Therefore, we do not accept any form of discrimination or abusive treatment, such as bullying, sexual harassment, violence, threats or racism. Our starting point is the individual’s experience and the fact that anyone who says they have been abused or discriminated against should always be taken seriously. School staff have a duty to immediately report any suspicion of discrimination or harassment to the principal.
As a student, you can always turn to your teacher, principal or other school staff for help and support.

Do you have a complaint about preschool, preschool class, after-school care, primary school, secondary school or adult education? If our activities do not meet your expectations or if you or your child are unhappy with something, we want to know. This is important for us in our ongoing efforts to improve. We are constantly working to develop our activities.
To make a complaint, follow the steps below.
1. contact the preschool/school in the first instance
If you have a complaint about a preschool, after-school club or school, you should first contact the staff there. For example, contact the responsible preschool teacher, teacher or mentor. If you feel that you are not getting the right help or attention, you can contact the head teacher instead. You can also contact the head teacher directly if you think the problem is serious.
2. contact the head teacher in the second instance
If contact with staff does not resolve the problem, contact the head teacher responsible. The head teacher is responsible for and decides on issues related to the daily activities and internal organization of the pre-school/school. If you are still dissatisfied after the call, you can proceed to step 3.
3. Contact the Employment and Education Department in the third instance.
If you have made your complaint to the staff and/or head teacher and you feel that the problem persists, you can submit a written complaint to the Employment and Education Department. To submit your comments online, click on the link at the bottom of the page. Of course, you have the right to complain anonymously, but if you want personal feedback on your case, you need to provide your name and contact details. If you are unable to register your complaints digitally, you can send them by post to the following address: Arbetsmarknads- och utbildningsförvaltningen, 961 86 Boden.

We will contact you about your complaint within 10 working days. When your complaint is closed, you will receive a written reply. If you choose to remain anonymous, the complaint will be investigated and documented, but no feedback will be given.
Please note that all complaints received become public documents. This may mean that those who request the document have the right to read it and/or receive a copy. If the document contains sensitive information, all or part of it can be protected by secrecy if there is support in the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act. There is currently a significant shortage of secondary school graduates in the labor market. Municipal adult education has many opportunities to help solve this skills shortage and is a resource for regional and municipal businesses. In adult education, we can help with skills development for existing or new staff, validation, study places, traineeships and apprenticeships.
If your company needs to develop the skills of new or existing staff, our adult education department can help you find training providers and provide contacts for contract training. We can also offer study places on single courses or coherent vocational courses. Most courses can be started at any time of the year and are free of charge. We can also develop new courses based on the needs of the industry. If you have thoughts or ideas about the supply of skills in your industry, you are welcome to contact us at Adult Education.
Apprenticeships aim to provide students with basic vocational training, increased work experience and the opportunity to gain knowledge in the vocational field under the guidance of a tutor in a workplace. The learner spends at least 70% of the study period in the workplace.
