Boden Game Camp is a hub and a unique ecosystem for the computer game industry in Boden. We currently have 200 students. Here is also our game incubator – Norrland’s first one.
Tomorrow’s digital creators are trained here. Boden Game Camp is an integral part of Boden Business Park. Students from Sweden and around the world seek to come here Norrbotten for education with good conditions for a career in a digital industry. In our state-of-the-art premises, there are 200 students divided into a six different educations and a upper secondary education.
Here is also Norrland’s first gaming incubator. The meeting place also consists of a “create part” that is aimed at people who are curious about game creation.

The Incubator are made for games and it gives you the opportunities you need to get from a pitch to a studio that are ready to make the next steps. Indie Game Developer is a two-year (78 course week) post-secondary education for professional game development, (Folkhögskola) which are based on the students’ needs, previous knowledge and and experience, where you will learn how to work as a professional game developer focused on small and medium-sized game companies – Indiespelbolag. The education will provide you with tools and skills to work as an indie game developer in your own company, together with others or as an employee. The education does not require prior knowledge in the field but great interest and experience in game development, game production has previously been recommended.
Whether it is level design, gameplay design, system design, scripting, narrative design, quality assurance or game production management that you are most interested in doing for games, this program will get you into the industry with credibility through hands-on development experience in game design.

A QA / Game Tester quality assures digital productions through systematic tests where the process is planned, implemented and documented. They can understand underlying factors to errors and can report deviations with relevant information that makes it easier to recreate and solve the problem.
What you get:
• Knowledge about how to quality secure Games, IT systems, script automated tests, design and perform tests.

Changemaker Educations runs educations, mainly for game development. When Changemaker Educations got filled up in the educations in Stockholm, the first game education was started in Boden, in collaboration with Sunderby Folk High School. Changemaker runs Futuregames, which is ranked as the world’s second best school for game design by The Rookies! In the autumn of 2021, Changemaker Education’s five post-secondary game educations will start in Boden.
Sunderby Folk High School has been involved since 1896. From the beginning, the folk high school was started to educate young people in agriculture – more than a hundred years later, the school offers, in addition to the educations in indie game development, including art school and a variety of other vocational education and courses.
