We are a cultural association that works to create meeting places with professional culture in focus. Our ambition is to bring people together where shared experiences and togetherness can grow through art and culture. Regular events in our activities are an annual song festival, Summer Light, and a film festival, Winter Light, and we also organise intercultural midsummer celebrations, art exhibitions and summer camps with a cultural theme for children. At a strategic level, we work to strengthen cultural and creative industries in the municipality and county. The association is a member of the Swedish Art Associations and Visan in Sweden and regularly collaborates with other associations and actors, both locally and nationally. To promote and strengthen professional cultural creators, we award two scholarships and a film prize each year. One scholarship is awarded in the name of the poet Arthur Landfors to a person who works in his spirit. The second scholarship is awarded to an individual who contributes to the development of professional culture locally. At the Winter light film festival we have established an award that highlights achievements in the film field in the north.
