Based on Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel, this psychological thriller follows acclaimed author Verity Crawford (Anne Hathaway) and Lowen Ashleigh (Dakota Johnson), a struggling writer who moves to the remote Crawford estate to ghostwrite for Verity.
When Lowen discovers what appear to be Verity’s autobiographical notes, she is pulled into a dark spiral of shocking revelations about Verity’s husband Jeremy (Josh Hartnett). Soon, it becomes increasingly difficult to distinguish between fiction and reality, manipulation and desire—and between opportunity and obsession.
