A new Boden resident who swapped the truck cab for game development – now at Boden Game Camp. A cheerful Värmland native who first earned a bachelor’s degree in Game Writing in Skövde, and is now continuing his studies as a QA/Game Tester in Boden. Despite being born and raised in Sweden, he has never explored the northern part of the country and admits he’s a bit embarrassed about it. Better late than never, we say!
— It was when I got to experience life sleeping in a truck cab that I thought, this isn’t for me, and started studying game development instead. Boden is the only place in Sweden that has a QA program, so I figured I’d continue my education there and applied, win or lose.
Micke has always had a connection to games. His grandmother started a toy store in Torsby where they sold video games, so he always had access to the latest titles and consoles. Now, as a QA student, it’s all about testing games to find bugs and issues before the game is released. A QA tester ensures the game works as it should, creating a better experience for the players.

— My first time in Boden has been lovely! No one in my class is from Boden, so we’ve been out discovering the town, going to the movies, trying local restaurants, and sharing northern lights photos with each other on Discord. It’s a great and friendly group!
He also senses the spirit of the future in Boden and says it feels inspiring to be here. A lot is happening, a lot is being built, and it’s great to see the investment in game education here. Great to hear, and a warm welcome to Boden!
