We are a mixed choir that has existed in its current form since 1983.
The choir’s repertoire is broad. We sing everything from pop and songs to classical works. We perform in churches, concert halls, retirement homes and at various celebrations such as National Day celebrations and inaugurations.
We sometimes collaborate with other choirs, both local and foreign. Over the years, the choir has visited many countries and given concerts there as well.
Chorisma is an association with its own board and is affiliated with the Norrbotten Choir Association.
The choir is run as a study circle under the auspices of Studieförbundet Vuxenskolan and with funding from Boden Municipality.
The driving force of the choir is the great joy we all share when we meet to practice and eagerly take on new exciting songs under the direction of choirmaster Magnus Toresson.
If you are also interested in choral singing, you are very welcome to come and try singing in our choir. You will find us on Tuesdays at 19.00 at the Defense Museum, Granatvägen 2, where we practice until 21.30 and of course with a much-needed coffee break in the middle of the exercise.
