She moved up from Uppsala as a newly qualified preschool teacher in February this year and got an apartment right next to her new workplace. She works at the newly built Kyrkkläppen preschool in Boden.
Together with her husband Ludvig, she enjoys life here—not just being close to work, but also to her parents in Mockträsk.
“Yes, they moved up before us. Dad is from here and Mom is from Hakkas. They moved down to Övik when they were young but are back here now. Mom is a principal and vocal coach, and Dad is a cantor. We felt that we wanted to live near family and relatives when we start a family in the future, and we really love it here.”

Lovisa also has a musical streak. Since moving here in February, she has found community at the Pentecostal Church, joined the Church of Sweden’s gospel choir, and even managed to set up a music studio in her apartment. Just in time for Christmas, she has released her own Christmas song that is doing well—Longing for Christmas.
And now she and Ludvig, who is studying remotely to become a high school teacher, are looking forward to their first Christmas in their proximity life here in Boden.
Welcome, and we wish you a Merry Christmas!
