Here’s the 19-year-old goalkeeper who moved from Stockholm to come here for handball. Now he’s going all-in on the sport, spending time with the team, and playing quite a bit with BBK at Hildursborg. Pontus has also been selected for training days with the U20 national team in Västerås on December 2—we wish him the very best of luck there!
His first time in Boden has been good—he’s been welcomed into the team and is “enjoying the moment,” as he puts it. When there isn’t a match or training, the team often hosts dinner gatherings at each other’s homes, and Pontus also manages a job as a learning support and after-school educator at Noblaskolan.
Now he’s looking forward to winter really arriving so he can strap on his long-distance skates and explore Boden’s outdoor life. He’s definitely experienced sub-zero temperatures, though—he previously went winter camping in Sälen during a cold snap of -30 degrees. Brr!
