We in the board work completely voluntarily to spread performing arts throughout the municipality of Boden. We organize professional theatre performances and performing arts for children & adults and have been doing so since the 40s. We changed our name from Bodens Teaterförening to Bodens Riksteaterförening after the 2015 congress. This is to make it clear that we are part of the national movement Riksteater with over 230 associations across the country.
We are also part of Riksteatern Norrbotten where we fourteen local associations (one in each municipality in the county) cooperate and collaborate to spread performing arts in Norrbotten. This is the great thing about Riksteatern, we are close to you in the municipality, county & country. This means, among other things, that you as a member have a plethora of associations and theaters that give you a discount on performing arts when you choose to support your local association, clever huh?
